DÉCOUVRE LA NATURE DE BREM AVEC ANNABELLE LA COCCINELLE À PIED

1 Hello, I'm Annabelle the ladybird!
Discover nature with me in the Pays de Brem and have fun at the same time.
From the Tourist Office, head for the Parc des Genêts, where you can picnic or have a snack. There are children's games, a boules pitch, a city stadium, disco-golf... it's well shaded, you'll see!

2 Head for the Village and the Gachère marshes, to discover the narrow streets, beautiful hollyhocks and low houses that enchant this little paradise!

3 Via rue des Gabelous, head up towards Plage des Dunes 2 (Brétignolles) to catch a glimpse of the dunes. Then take the GR 8 (sentier de Grande Randonnée No. 8 marked in red and white) up rue de l'Ecours and down towards the Vallée de l'Ecours.

4 There is a small wooden fitness trail in this beautiful green valley with lots of shade! The stream separates Brem from Brétignolles sur Mer.
Climb the stairs to reach the feudal mound.
Then take the small path to discover the jewel of Brem: the Church of St Nicolas, one of the oldest churches in the Vendée, dating back to 1020! The triangular pediment surrounds Saint Nicolas with mysterious motifs.

5 The little village of Saint Nicolas is a superb place to visit. Take the time to go in and have a look through the little door at the side, it's open during the day all year round. The choir is dominated by frescoes of the Holy Woman at the Tomb.

Leaving the church via Rue du Prieuré, you will pass the priory, a medieval building dating back to the 15th century.
Return to the Tourist Office via rue Saint Martin, rue des Ecoles and rue du Champ Prieur.
