A loop that quickly immerses you in the Coëx countryside. The fields, tree-lined avenues, farms and frequent crossings of the old railway line give this route a contemplative pause in the past.

CIRCUIT DE L’AUDARDIÈRE N°12

Yours steps

CarteListe

1 The route starts in Coëx town centre, in the Gué Gorand car park, below the town hall, opposite the garden and the Salle du Parc. Head towards the town centre, past the church and Place Georges Clemenceau, then turn left into Rue de la Clergerie. Continue straight ahead until you come to a bend in the road signposted chemin de la Lucillière. At this point, go straight ahead again. Then take the first left (chemin de la Procession). At the stop sign in rue du Bocage, turn right and then immediately left into chemin de l'Eponge.

2 Follow the Chemin de l'Eponge for 650 metres, then as soon as you see the tracks turn left to follow them. You will pass a pond. Continue along the track until you reach a junction where you turn right (Saint Anne) and cross the railway tracks again. Continue to the next junction and turn right to Chemin de l'Eponge, then left. Walk for 650 m and when you reach Sainte Marie (cul-de-sac and chambres d'hôtes), go straight on. After walking for 550 m, you will come to a crossroads where there is a sign with information about the Château de l'Audardière. Turn right and walk for approximately 1 km. (Tip: use a mountain bike)

3 When you reach Route de Coëx, turn right and continue for just over 1 km (watch out for traffic - no pavement: dangerous, speeding cars - not recommended for children). Take the first turning on the left. Continue and turn right, following the yellow arrow. Follow this shady path through the countryside as far as La Brosse Sanson, where you turn left. Pass a pond. After about 1 km, you'll come to a junction where cycle paths cross. Go straight on towards Coëx.

4 You will then recognise the route on which you started this loop, so continue straight on towards rue de la Clergerie. At the stop sign, turn right towards the Gué Gorand car park.
