From April to September, "Les Petits Trains de Vendée" offers you a fun way to discover the towns of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez.
Whether you're young or old, a family or a group of friends, become a passenger on our trains and travel at a gentle pace through the landscapes of the "Côte de Lumière".
For around 45 minutes, enjoy a guided tour and a soundtrack to immerse yourself in our heritage. Follow the wild coastline for more than 3 km, part of which is classified as a "Natural Site". Enjoy the unique panorama of the ocean!
You'll discover: the fishing and yachting harbours of St-Gilles, the coastal river "La Vie", the "Belle Epoque" villas, the Boisvinet beach, the 5 Pineaux, the village of "Sion sur l'Océan", the Grosse Terre fire, the Josephine tower and the Trou du Diable!
Our trains are all equipped with a roof, which is appreciated during the hottest hours, and a mackintosh in case of bad weather or cool evenings. Tour times may vary according to traffic conditions.
Tickets may be purchased from the driver of the little train 30 minutes before departure!
Departures are from Quai des Greniers (Gillo'BUS "Rue piétonne" stop).
From June to September, you can also leave from Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez at rue Lucien Collinet (near the Sion sur l'Océan sailing school).
