Leaving from the town, discover Le Fenouiller along its narrow country lanes. Halfway along the route, at Le Poiré, La Vie offers a contemplative and cultural break.

1 From the Place de l'Eglise, take rue de la Grande Vigne around the church, catching up with rue du Centre. Turn right, walk 170 metres and turn right after the bakery onto rue des Carrières. Continue straight on rue des Carrières for 750 metres. After the rue de Chelbert on your right, turn at the first right (impasse les Parionnières). Continue for 230 metres and turn left.
2 Walk 600 metres on an unsealed path in a straight line. Cross the Pas Opton road and then cross the cycle path to go straight ahead. Go straight on towards Le Poiré.
3 When you reach the edge of La Vie, at Le Poiré, enjoy a fine view of the river from the small bridge, then take the Route du Poiré for 500 metres and turn left.
4 Go past a farm and join the Chemin du Sableron. Continue straight ahead and at the next junction, turn right to join the RD754. Turn right again, and after 100 metres, take the first left onto chemin du Peuple (signposted "Le Rocher").
5 Walk for 550 metres on an unsurfaced road and turn at the first right. Continue straight on for 600 metres until you reach Rue des Carrières, where you turn right. You should now recognise the route you took on the outward journey. Continue along rue des Carrières until you reach rue du Centre. Turn left, walk past the bakery and return to Place de l'Eglise.
