MASTERS DE PÉTANQUE

For pétanque fans, it's a chance to meet the world's best, in seven teams of four players. On each stage, 8 teams will compete: the seven international teams and a local team with the best players representing Saint Gilles Croix de Vie.

The Masters de Pétanque is played in triples, the most popular format in the sport. Each victory enables the teams to score valuable points in the overall ranking, as only the top 4 teams in the overall ranking at the end of the 7 stages will go through to the Final Four.

All the stages of the Masters de Pétanque are free to enter.

Programme for Wednesday 25 June :

08:15 - YOUTH MASTERS: Mixed competition for 9-15 year-olds with or without a licence.

10.00 - LOCAL TEAM SELECTION: Who will be the 3 representatives from Gillocruci who will compete against the Masters de Pétanque champions?

18h00 - PRESENTATION OF TEAMS AND DRAWING PRIZE

7.00 pm - GENTLEMEN TOURNAMENT: Friendly games between local councillors, event partners and pétanque champions - by invitation only

2.00 pm - First 1/2 final

Not before 3.30pm: Second 1/2 final

Not before 17:00: Final

All the stages of the Masters de Pétanque as well as the FINAL FOUR are open to the public free of charge all day long, on both days of the competition. Attend all the matches free of charge, including the Youth Masters, Local Selection and Pétanque Masters!
