Every third weekend in September, young and old alike can enter the gates of tens of thousands of monuments, some of which are closed to the public for the rest of the year. In 2024, the days of 21 and 22 September are organised around the themes of "Heritage of routes, networks and connections" and "Maritime heritage".

Here is the programme organised by Saint Gilles Croix de Vie:

- Atelier Henry Simon Les Rimajures: Free visits on Saturday and Sunday from 2.30pm to 7pm.

- Eglise Sainte-Croix: Free visits, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 7pm (except during services).

- Escale Pêche: Saturday and Sunday from 2.30pm to 6pm, an invitation to go behind the scenes of fishing and its skills. Exhibition "Croix-de-Vie au rythme de la débarque" - mid 20th century.

- Charles Atamian permanent exhibition: Free admission, Saturday from 10am to 5.30pm and Sunday from 10am to 12.30pm.

- Chemin de l'âme à l'âme" exhibition: Guided tour of the Sainte-Croix church on the theme of "Sacred art... spiritual expression" on Saturday at 4pm.

- Martel brothers war memorial: Free admission, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 7pm, rue du 11 Novembre. Exhibition by the Suroît association surrounded by friends of the sea, all day Sunday, from 10am to 6pm on the quai des greniers.

- Sailors' songs with Hope la Vie: Saturday morning at 10.30am, Place Guy Kergoustin (near the children's park). Sunday morning at 10.30 am at the Benjamin Bénéteau bandstand. Sunday afternoon at 5pm in front of the Maison du Pêcheur.

-The Hope, old sailing ship : Marina at visitors' pontoon no. 8 - opposite the Bénéteau Bandstand. Saturday and Sunday, guided tours on board from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm.

- Maison du Pêcheur: Guided tours, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm. Pacific" exhibition: Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 7pm.

- History of the Grande Plage embankment: guided walk by the VIE association. Meet in front of the Hôtel Marina on Saturday at 3pm.

- The port, its sailors and its inhabitants: Discover life in the port, past and present. Guided tour by the VIE association. Meet at the foot of the Josephine Tower on Sunday at 3pm.
