Maison mer : Margot Meerts "I've always been a lover of the ocean, and as a recreational diver I've seen some magnificent seaweed paintings underwater. Insatiable about these underwater landscapes and wanting to share them, I drew inspiration from scientific seaweed to which I bring my designer's eye and my sensitivity to create my paintings. The seaweed is collected from the seabed on the beaches of the Vendée. They are then carefully dried, pressed and assembled one by one by hand in my workshop a few kilometres from the ocean.
