Exposition “II Pause”

After training at the Hourde School of Art and Scenography in Paris and the Creapole School of Industrial Design, followed by a successful career as a graphic artist and designer, Véronique Bandry turned to painting in 2005. Since making that choice, she has exhibited extensively in France and Europe. Her work is widely recognised and has won numerous awards. With her drawings framed in black and her fragmented forms, her style is reminiscent of comic strips. "Through my painting, I try to show scenes from everyday life that seem to me to be small moments of happiness that are accessible to everyone and experienced by everyone. I leave the characters blank because they're just passing through, they're anonymous. The environment,
is permanent. Véronique Bandry and I have succeeded: let's go for a walk on the beach, stroll along the quays, sunbathe or have a coffee on the terrace. Let's treat ourselves to a refreshing break that we might not have taken today without her.
We'll leave feeling nostalgic and happy.
