Yours steps
From the church of Saints Pierre et Paul in Commequiers, head towards the library and pass under the archway until you reach the rue du 11 Novembre. Turn left. Cross the road and go straight on to rue de la Ville en Bois. At the end of this dead-end street, there is a footpath on your right. This leads to allée des Huits Tours, where you turn left.
Head to the wooded grounds of the Château de Commequiers, where a play area and picnic area await you (the 'Théo and the Château' treasure hunt is available from the vélo-rail). Enjoy the panoramic view of the Château as you cycle around it, then return to the play area and the allée des Huits Tours.
Turn left into rue de Beaumont. Continue straight on rue des Gâcheries. When you reach rue de la Vie, go straight on to chemin du Pas de la Claie. You're in the countryside! This pretty path is shaded. If you follow the bend in the road, you will come to chemin de la Croix Blanche.
Cross the impasse des Saules housing estate. This is the rue de la Brigassière. Take this road for 20 to 30 metres on your right. Then take the first left onto rue de l'Enclose.
Follow this path through the countryside, crossing the Vélo-rail tracks. You will come to Rue des Pêcheurs. Turn right. Continue straight ahead until you reach the railway tracks. Turn left immediately after the railway line. This is a small, shady tarmac path that runs alongside the tracks. Then take the first turning on the right: a small unsurfaced track (Vendée Vélo and Loop des Pierres Folles signs).
