The Jaunay (originally La Jaunaye) is a river and tributary of the coastal river La Vie.
The La Vie river is 45.4 km long. The River Jaunay (not to be confused with Lac du Jaunay) rises in the commune of Venansault. It then flows through or borders the various communes it meets as far as the sea: Landeronde, Beaulieu-sous-la-Roche, Aizenay, Martinet, La Chapelle-Hermier, Saint-Julien-des-Landes, Landevieille, L'Aiguillon-sur-Vie, La Chaize-Giraud, Bretignolles-sur-Mer, Givrand and then joins the Vie at Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie.
This river is ideal for fishing, canoeing and SUP.
