Museum and interpretation centre on the history of fishing in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, located in the heart of the Moroccan quarter.
This charming 1920s fisherman's cottage consists of two rooms and a courtyard. Renovated in 1993, it is a typical reconstruction of an interior from that era, with antique furniture, period clothing, objects from daily life and information about the maritime town's past. It tells the story of Saint Gilles Croix de Vie. This cultural visit immerses you in an intimate setting brimming with anecdotes and gives you an insight into the lives of former fishermen and their families.
The museum is open every day from 2.30pm to 5.30pm except Tuesdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Groups can visit outside these hours.
