Les Saltimbanques de l'Océan present 'Le Murmure de l'Eau', a light-hearted comedy of unexpected situations that reflects a time when our forefathers did not have it easy.
Led by the actors and written and directed by Karène Merveilleux, this little family fresco will plunge the audience into a past where "the living dead speak to the not yet born" but where everyone dreams of a better life.
Damien Bourriaud comes from a wealthy family of industrialists who made their fortune in the laundry business. While refusing to provide additional crèche places for the children of his employees, Damien collapsed and fainted. When he comes to, he is no longer in 2024 but at the beginning of the 20th century in his family's private washhouse next door to Bourriaud's very first company. Blanche, his great-grandmother, was too poor to marry Raoul, his great-grandfather. Madame Berthe, Raoul's sister, has chosen to marry him off to Julia, a rich bourgeois. Damien soon realises that he has to give fate a helping hand if he is to preserve his social status and capital in the future.
