Les Musicales du Pays de Saint Gilles – Son Con Cuero

Son Con Cuero was born out of a shared desire to play the music known as 'Son', the ancestor of salsa. Son Con Cuero, a group of seven musicians, is a veritable symbol of Cuba's huge cross-fertilisation of cultures, with the aim of highlighting the close relationship between drumming and dancing. Two percussion instruments (congas and bongos), a double bass, a guitar, a trumpet and a violin, all backed by the vocal power of its lead singer, Wilfredo Benavides.
