A year of sliding at Brétignolles sur Mer

The Brétignolles sur Mer coastline is the playground of many water sports enthusiasts. Surfing, kite surfing, wing surfing or foiling... This exhibition presents and showcases the various local spots and the talent of those who tirelessly master the waves and the wind!

3 photographers / 4 exhibition venues, on the Sauzaie esplanade, the Normandelière sailing school, Dunes 1 and outside the media library in the town centre.

The photographers:

- Pierre Thobie: Originally from the Nantes region, Pierre Thobie has been a professional photographer for a number of years. His passion for kitesurfing, surfing and wingfoiling has led him to photograph these sports in the water, producing images that have never been seen before. Assigned to produce the report between January and April 2024, Pierre Thobie will be taking to the water as the seasons go by, to offer increasingly immersive content.

- Flavian Couvreur: A professional photographer for over 10 years, Flavian Couvreur specialises in aquatic photography to share his passion for water and sport. He strives to capture the moment when man and the sea come together, in a constant search for a new artistic approach. In spring 2023, he immortalised a session with local surfing champion Tristan Guilbaud at the Sauzaie surf spot.

- Joséphine Leroux: A self-taught photographer from the Vendée, Josie showcases the beauty of her region through her passion for photography, specialising in capturing the ocean, surfing and adventure. She sees surfing as a poetic expression, offering viewers an experience of wonder and escape.
