Now classed as a "senior leisure activity", the concept of dancing has been given a whole new lease of life by the mad gamble taken by the former manager of Buena Vista Social Club and current manager of the virtuoso Roberto Fonseca. The idea is to travel through time. A space-time deterritorialisation. The warm atmosphere of the music club of the 1930s is set in the very heart of the concert halls. The aim: to put the lived experience back on the agenda. Cuban music should move through the body, making it swing in all its sensuality, and the role was given to the audience, with the music serving its audience.
