Following on from Le Chemin de la Sardine in Croix-de-Vie and Au fil des pierres de lest in old Saint-Gilles, the Tourist Office is now offering a brand new walking trail through the Boisvinet district: The seaside villas, the charm of yesteryear.
This new 1.5km route, which can be explored independently thanks to a dedicated brochure, links the historic Boisvinet district (Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie) to the Corniche vendéenne (Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez). Unmarked, it invites visitors to take their time to observe and discover. Elegant villas, ornate facades, architectural details: each stop offers a better understanding of the evolution of the coast and the seaside lifestyle that developed there from the end of the 19th century onwards.
